SERTO and EXMAR at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin

137,394 international trade fair visitors from 131 countries travelled to the German capital to find out about the industry's unique range of products and services. At the Berlin Exhibition Centre, 2,834 exhibitors from 56 countries presented the entire product and service repertoire of the mobility industry.

A special feature of InnoTrans is the spacious track and outdoor area between the exhibition halls, which numerous exhibitors used as an eye-catching stage for their world premieres. The top theme of the trade fair was sustainability. For example, Siemens Mobility presented the Mireo Plus H, the next generation of hydrogen trains, as well as the Mireo Plus B, which is equipped with a modular, high-performance battery system. Stadler presented the hydrogen-powered FLIRT H2 multiple-unit train for American passenger transport for the first time. And guests were even able to experience the hydrogen-powered Coradia iLint passenger train from Alstom in operation: the train travelled twice daily from Berlin-Spandau to Berlin-Ostbahnhof.

The solutions we presented at InnoTrans are also sustainable. The train, which we recreated and which was the centrepiece of our trade fair presence, clearly demonstrated the advantages of our fittings and piping systems. In the brake system, brake lines or air tank pipework, special reductions ensure fewer interfaces and fewer potential leakage points. You can install fully assembled and comprehensively tested brake plates directly in the brake system. Ready-to-install water distributors with connections for the cooling plates made of PVDF, stainless steel or aluminium, orbital-welded pipes or FEP hoses with fire-retardant angle brackets ensure the cooling of power electronics and batteries. From the driver's cab to the pantograph to the carriage gangway and the wet cell: We supply the right material, produced ready for installation and just-in-time. Our broad expertise in bending and welding tubes is an added bonus.

The thirteenth InnoTrans was a successful trade fair for SERTO and EXMAR. Our trade fair team, which consisted of sales representatives from Switzerland, Germany and India, was pleased to hold numerous technical and advisory discussions with customers and interested parties from all over the world. Chief Business Development Officer Ali Özkan sums up the event positively: "InnoTrans is one of the most important trade fairs of the year for us, as the rail and transport industry is one of our focus sectors and we offer strong solutions for it. This is where we meet customers, interested parties and business partners from all over the world". Unfortunately, the only thing missing this time were the Chinese trade visitors, who were unable to travel due to the strict coronavirus regulations. Last but not least, InnoTrans is also a great platform for exchanging news from the industry.
